Kick butt ::thumb Love the work on the guitars and the stockings rock! That pic showing the back of the guitar neck and the wood pattern looks almost like the real thing. After building a few of these figure kits, I'm curious as to where you stand now as far as preference - do you prefer one over the other, or is it equal between figures and mecha? :)

Interesting question. As of now, I don't have a preference. Figures are still new and exciting for me. I've been a mecha builder for years so it's a little unfair to judge one against the other. It basically comes down to if a kit (figure or mecha, or something entirely different) jumps out at me or not. When I see something, if I get the urge to build it and an idea or inspiration mentally forms, then I usually run in head first.

Figures and mecha are completely different builds.. however the same techniques are used to build both. It's funny that certain techniques are used more in one over the other. I'd be more opt to make certain things on a figure shiny, apply more pronounced shading, and other techniques that I would normally stay away from with mechas... I have yet to get a figure I want to apply "battle" damage to....

I like to believe I like them equally, but right now, figures are still new and exciting and I'm finding myself more attracted to building those of late than mecha kit. Heh.. one of the biggies is the parts count between a typical figure and a typical mecha kit. I guess it's the laziness in me; I'd much rather sand 10-15 pieces over 80-100+....
