Ikeda Shunsuke...Sayonara, arigato!

For those of us who were children in the 70s, Ikeda Shunsuke was popular here in Hawaii as Ichiro, the "human" form of Kikaida 01 - a live action 30 minute series that aired in the early 70s. He passed away in Japan on June 11, 2010 from diabetes complications.

Daisuke Ban (Kikaider from the original series) had many kind words to say at his funeral. I remember him most from the Ultraman tv series I watched as a kid. Mr. Ikeda loved Hawaii so much that he requested that his ashes be spread in Hawaiian waters.
