Hi all,

So I was painting some eye detail yesterday and ended up making a real mess of it. Eventually paint ended up going skyward, into the realm of 3D. Right now I am trying to strip the paint off with what I have on hand: airbrush cleaner, rubbing alcohol, and soap. I tried all three without that much success so I resorted to scraping it off with a toothbrush and knife (not ideal).

Anybody know a good way to strip paint off the resin for a do-over? I remember reading something about this somewhere before but I can't find it again anymore. Thanks.

Brake fluid is used by some. Lacquer thinner too.

Since you are using straight acrylics, something less caustic might be safer. I used to use a household cleaner like Pine-sol. Just soak it overnight and most of the paint just rubs off. And your kit smells like pine trees ;)

I'm off to get some cleaners :). Worth a shot, thanks Masa.

Fairy spray takes care of _Everything_.
Spray the parts, let be for ~25-30 minutes and rinse/brush off.

Google reveals "Fairy Power Spray", a dishwashing detergent probably available at most Walmart - like places...unless it's just a UK thing.

Meanwhile, I got some Simple Green automotive cleaner (Wal-mart, automotive section) that seems to work better than most other things I've tried. Leave in for overnight, scrub off. Still takes lots of scrubbing and going over with a toothpick.
