Hey guys'n'gals

This will be my first attempt at sculpting a complete Anime-figure ... I've done a bit of sculpting before ... but nowhere near the complexity of a complete figure ..

I've chosen Sen for a couple of reasons:

1. I LOVE her :inlove:
2. Short hair .... no hassle with creating dynamics in long hair
3. Boy'ish body. Sen is very androgynous in her appearance, and I thought that avoiding heavy curves and such would be great for starters
4. Cloth to Skin ratio. Sen offers me a fair amount of both skin and fabric to work with .... plus the cloth is pretty tight-fitting, so there's a minimum to the amount of wrinkles and crinkles in the fabric

I hope this will turn out well, because there are a couple of other subjects I'd like to tackle as well (Yukie from Maji de Watashi...., Ogi from Genshiken, Minchi from Hanasaku Iroha ... and so on)

So far I've planned the armature, and the overall size of the figure ... next will be to make the actual armature

Small update. I've made the armature

http://krokohunter.dk/stuff/GKJapan/armatur02.jpg

1. I made some lengths of twirled metalwire, to strengthen it but still keeping it flexible

2. The armature is made of 3 pieces of wire: 1 for the legs, 1 for the spine, and 1 for the arms/shoulders

3. I secured the fixtures with some thick CA

Next step will be to rough out the torso, pelvis and limbs

Looking good so far! I'm anxious to see how it comes out. Say, what's that strange booklet in japanese you've got in the Background?

A bit of progress

I attached the first layers of New Fando .... this is the first time I opened the package of New Fando ... but still it seems like it has dried out a bit ... have any of you guys have had the same experience?

I added some moisture to the clay, and this helped a bit, and I was able to define the basic limbs, torso and pelvis .... nothing beautiful .. just basic shapes, so I can define the posture, before sculpting the figure.

I've repackaged the New Fando with some wet papertowels, in a ziplock, and put the ziplock into an airtight container .... hope this helps
