Hi Folks,

I've been looking for one of these kits for years. (cutekit.jpg) Saw her pic in a We Love Figures HJ Special. No one, not even the Might Scott Hards at HLJ can find her.

The other is another I'd like to find. Sorry but the only picture I have of her came from the R place, HObby Fan.

All help would be appreciated!

Hi Tom,
The first kit you posted was an original character design by Aoyama K, and produced by Craft Factory Tsubasa. Her name is Naomi. I think there were three designs in this series with the kit you're looking for being number 2. I haven't seen it on any auction sites lately, but some smaller stores do have some old stock like this one here:

The first kit in the series is on Yahoo Japan right now if you are interested:

Hope this helps,

Masa

Hi Masa,

Thanks for the great reply! Much more info than I've ever had. Someone told me the snip of text next to the picture said teacher. Nice to know her name and some background.

The link is great! Funny that she's a bunny of sorts.

I've never bid on eBay Japan. How does that work?

Thanks again!

I've never bid on eBay Japan. How does that work?

Yahoo Japan is very simular to Ebay since Ebay left the Japanese market.
The two main differences are I find Yahoo Japan to have less shady and pirated goods and they don't sell to people outside of Japan. Lol we've found ways around that using import services who allow you to bid through them for a nominal fee. We have a tuturial on using YJ here: http://www.gkjapan.com/showthread.php?t=31

Thank you both very much, Dr H and Masa.

I'll read the tutorials.

Wish me luck! Now if I can just learn to read Japanese! ha!

Have fun with the auctions! I found the second character you were looking for as well - Amie-Grand produced kit of Leifan from Dead Or Alive 2. It is out of production (aren't they all? ) but they pop up on Yahoo Japan auctions from time to time. Good luck :)

I'm so excited! I've been looking for Naomi for years.

I had another kit on my list. The 2001 Moon Bus from Aurora made back inthe late '60s. I have one when I was a kid. I've been wanting another but I've been unwilling to pay the $100's for it on eBay. Well, I'm active with several fantasy model contests in the area. (That includes Nan Desu Kan! Best model show of any anime con in the US! But we'll talk about that one later!) So, a staff member of the scifi con's art show offered some kits for the Make-N-Takes I do thru the director of the model contest. I wrote back and said I had it taken care of and that the kits should go to the contest for prizes. Just on a whim, I said that if there was an Aurora Moonbus in the mix, he needed to email me privately. Well, guess what!?? Ha ha ha!! That's right! It is now mine! and for MUCH LESS than you see them on eBay! He knew what he was doing, too, so no remorse at all on anyone's part!! I dont remember it being so small or so rough but that is incidental! I am savoring the build!

Now, I am on the verge of finding all those garage kits I've been wanting! If this is part of getting older, today, I'm OK with that!!!
