Anyhow, we're on the move from our small 24m² condoe to one little more than three times as big. So, in order to get as much as posible out of the sale of this one, we decided to sharpen up the place.
This kind of (understatement) explains my lack of posting the past month+

1st thing to do: The Kitchen... ^^

The new gas stove arrived earlier this week and was installed yesterday.
Next on my to do list is to fix the cupboards under the sink which I had to trash in order to have the gas pipes redrawn:

In an hour, I'm taking our cats to live with one of my collegues for the remainder of the 3 weeks we still live here. It's going to get messy as h3ll, so... ^^

Leaving the cats went as could have been expected. Sparks (Tussen) have already settled in and is racing the vast spaces in his 'new home' and Camilla will from what I could tell be quite busy petting him.
Furrball (Lurvas) .. well, he spent the better part of the evening under the sofa, but at least he let me pet him and take him out of there twice.
When I left, he had escaped to the (covered) litter box. Not yet used I might add. Luckily ... ^_^; Ah, well... Sparks'll lure him out when the time comes.

deinfately love what you've done with the old brick! i wouldn't have thought of that and just covered it up lol :blink: the combination of the brick and tile give it classy and yet rustic feel. it works well :happy:

Got home at 7:45 pm, had 2 sandwiches and begun measuring and sawing at about 8:45. Finished the *noisy* stuff by 9:45 (outside; loud as hell that machine saw... ^^) so I bet I'm popular with the neighbours ... :dry:

Started working of the wall cabinet .. turned out the back wall is leaning backwards about 2-2,5° which makes things .. well, interesting.

Left to do: touch ups paint wise, trim along the sink/floor, trim along the walls/floor.
I'm also waiting for some handles for the cabinet door + the sliding cabinet door under the sink.
They ended up being OOP and only one IKEA had'em left in stock. Luckily for me I have a pal living in that city, so he's buying a pair for me this weekend.

Now I'm off to see my kitties for the first time in 2 weeks... :cry: How I long for them...
