View Full Version : Shipping times...

So, I've been searching the internet endlessly for resin models... Needless to say - the best bang for your buck is on Ebay. With all of the sites I've been to - the shipping has been absolutely horrible. Anywhere from 2-4 weeks after they get the order to ship out. You could be waiting for a full month before you recieve your item.
Are there any places to get decent models with quick shipping? Or, is it in my better interest to learn to sculpt now and make my own? lol.
If I want a cheaper model I usualy buy from Hobby link Japan www.hlj.com (http://www.hlj.com) or Hobby Search http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/
They both also carry supplies so I can grab some of that as long as I'm ordering a figure. I haven't ordered a figure from them in a while but I've never had any problem with them in the past and I usually get the order in 4-6 days. The key is to use EMS shipping not SAL.;)
If Masa has a figure in stock I like I always buy from him first though since his prices are better than YJ or Ebay and I get the shipment in 3 days..:D

Go Masa, my crack-addiction-by-resin dealer! :D
eBay is a wonder or a nightmare for figure kits... You can sometimes get a REALLY good deal if you find an original, other times not so much. You'll often get great deals on the older (sometimes much older) kits and vinyl kits. I've picked up a few event kits and other stuff out there so it can be done. For the (...nauseatingly voluminous numbers of...) recasts in evilBay-land it's always caveat emptor.
HLJ, RT and Hobby Search are good places in my opinion, too.
