Did this piece back in 1999. For a digi-cam of the time, this is a pretty good pic.

The wings were glazed using a mix of Golden Gel Medium and colors that were thinned down with airbrush thinner and rubbed on, allowed to set and the excess was wiped away.

i have that ki and cant wait to build her. she'll be sitting in her box until i get an AB and learn to use it though. I want to make sure she looks great ^^

I like what you did with yours. The metal parts shine really nice :)

Great job Ferio! And a great kit - still haven't come up with any ideas for the base for mine  The metallics came out very nice. Probably going to do a similar glaze/wash on mine as well. Any chance for closeups?

BTW... is that the Belldandy/Crane kit at the top right of the photo? I remember those wings from somewhere... :hmm:

Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately this all I have for pics now. The kit is packed away in another location.

This pic was taken at a show and I think that was the Bell on Crane by S-Mist. If I remember the builder had another 10 of them at her table.

Thanks. The metal parts were done by very thin coats of paint - but not all one color. The effect you see is cumulative. I had an idea in mind and did the egg and the wing in one session. Just pulled colors and applied until I got the effect I wanted. The end result has a lot of depth.

I hope I can pull it from storage and reshoot with my current camera.

Very pretty kit Ferio, the wings look real cool!
Is that an Agate slice being used as a base?

It is a piece of foam with a piece of plastic attached. I cut it in an organic shape, randomly shaped the edges and washed with oil-based paint. This caused a slight melting on the foam and added to the effect.
