I always liked seeing the threads showing new figures that people just got. Hey why not post one here? (First :D )

I recently got the following figures from squadron...

and from our friend Masa... ;)

1/6 Scale Original Cast - I bought her because I liked the sculpt and wanted to build a bikini figure. No idea who she is. ;)

(She's taking the purple bath right now)

She's got some UBC action going on there. I'm sure Masa, Secret, and Dr.H will highly approve :p

Nice Red! Her name is Onoda Yura and she is from a Manga called
Futari Ecchi ( Futari H ). She is a newlywed and being virgins they are now learning all about having a sexual relationship. Its suppose to be a sexual education manga but it kind of comes off a bit to much hentai.

Well I got Onoda Yura from Masa about a week ago and after letting her cool her jets in the "Grape Kool-Aid" for about I week I rinsed her off and began sanding down the seam lines.

She will be a quick prep because its a great cast. If I was back in my pre-kid days I could knock out the rough prep & pin in a day and have her in primer with the bikini part puttied within the week. Alas my time is severely more limited these days. It's okay, models can wait... ;)

Without a doubt, molding the bikin top in will be the hardest part; overall the kit should be a cinch!

Thanks for the hook-up Masa!

I must admit that Rage's threads and photos have taught and inspired me more than any other. I enjoy the pretty pictures, the informative prose, and the inspirational techniques.

Oh, and it doesn't hurt that he has excellent taste in magazines! :D

Many thanks for the kind compliments Film Maker but truth be told you're far more accomplished than I. I'm just thrilled that anybody actually reads my ramblings. ^^O^^

Great issue BTW ;) ...

Ahhh, my favorite sci-fi film of all time: Metropolis. A friend of mine found this resin Maria from Amazing Figure Modeler's website, it was out of production for a long time.

The HTF one produced by Masudaya. I'm trying to decide which to do first.

Now that you mention it, the idea was on my mind. The only problem I have is that there is no Giorgio Moroder version of the film in production, hence reference is a problem. The soundtrack to that version was really 80s music. Unfortunately there are only pirated DVDs, VHS tapes, and laser discs that run pretty high on ebay. The version I had was on (drum roll please) BETA!

If I EVER get it done, I'll be sure to post it here!!

Great finds Morpheus. Can't wait to see your take on the kits. I think that AFM did a build-up article on their kit a few years back; I'll see if I can locate that article for you.

I recall seeing both versions of Metropolis but it was a long time ago. Didn't Yes or John Anderson do the soundtrack to the 80's remaster?

Cheers,
RR

Yup, J. Anderson performed "Cage of Freedom" on the soundtrack, that I did manage to get. But alas, "Machines" -the main theme, sacrificed the raw guitar sound on the original for that of a whining synthesizer.....

Hello all,
Here is my pile of old Samurai Spirits kits by Yellowsubmarine. These kits date back to 1993 and 1994 when 2D fighting games were the big thing in the arcades. The kits are Nakakruru and Charolette from Samurai Spirits I also Cham Cham and Rimruru from Samurai Spirits II. The Rimruru kit is one that I have ever seen before while the other three I have not seen in years. I'm so happy to finally have a Charolette kit. There are many nakaruru kits but Charolette kits are pretty rare.

Hey Redrage,
I was only able to find build up pictures of the Cham Cham and Charolette. I had no luck with Nakaruru or Rimruru.

I have no idea when I'll get to these kits. I still have more than I'm will to admit waiting for me.

Hey Miho,

I love these two figures; very nice. Cham Cham is very cute and Charolette is quiet elegant. When you get around to building them you'll have to post something. I know how it is to have a "production back-log" ;)

Best Regards
