Hello Everyone !

Actually i'm ashamed to show you this ugly thing, but i know that you guys can help me out in sculpting this one.
That's an old project that i started to sculpt with air clay which actually .... didn't suit me at all.

Now i'm working with plastiline, which works a lot better for me.

Here is the initial drawing which inspire me :

Now let's work a little bit. Here is the first image :

http://i22.servimg.com/u/f22/11/02/79/45/th/essai010.jpg (http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=402&u=11027945)

And the last one (which is not actual, since i made some changes in it since then)

http://i19.servimg.com/u/f19/11/02/79/45/th/essai010.jpg (http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=410&u=11027945)

Please don't pay attention to the arms, as their position is not final, , this is just easier this way for me to sculpt her dress.

I'm waiting for you critisism (afraid of Masa's ones  :giggle: )

Thank for watching !

I am really looking forward to the next pictures :D
here is a picture of another Mistress 9 . A member of another forum changed a sailor pluto kit into Mistress 9. she used real cloth for the skirt.perhaps it gives you a feeling for the foldings. hope it helps a bit

Despite what you might think, I thought yours was shaping up pretty good. The picture Nadine posted had more of a caught-in-motion type model. From the image you posted, it seems yours is more of a standard pose, which is fine. I'd say to just try your best and continue with it. Even if it doesn't turn out okay, you made it from scratch! That's more than some people can say. And you can always break it apart and start over.

It looks like its going ok to me. One thing I'd recommend is to check your references... twice ;) Get the proportions of the figure all squared away BEFORE you go into the detail work like sculpting the clothing and waves in the fabric. Its really difficult with stylized artwork like the Sailor Moon series. You can get away with a lot more in 2d versus 3d and you should use a bit of "artistic license" when sculpting the figure to get something that is more pleasing to the eye. Most of the SM kits put out by the pros tend to be a more realistic body type (well... as real as anime can be :P ) for the characters instead of the lanky, super-long legs and arms like the illustrations. Hope this helps some.

Have fun!

Well i´d prefer a self- build model- and i am looking forward to yours! as i said the other guy just remodelled a Pluto kit- but building a completedly new kit is really fun. i just wanted to show you how the other kit came out and perhaps it gives you some help when you are stuck with sth ;)

Yes i know thank you Nadine for your help. I'm still working on her, trying to have all the principal shape done first before adding to much details.
