View Full Version : Hello!

Just like to introduce myself and get myself prepared for what I'm about to build, I'll get into that later.
Anyway, I'm primarily a mecha fan but ever since August of 2007, I've become a anime figure fan. Mainly buying PVC pre-painted figures, I thought there was a lacking in selection so I decided to pick up a figure. Sadly to say my order will be shipped from hobbyfan and I've heard that they sell recasts which I've heard isn't a very good thing.
Anyway currently in my arsenal, I have some appropriate tools/skills for building figures since I've built one or two Gundam model kits. What I'm afraid is the painting part which I'll add into the appropriate section.

Hiya Syn!! Sorry I missed this into post  Welcome! I love the pvc stuff. Especially the Gashapon. Hobby Fan eh? I have about 3 kits from them (all purchased before I knew what a rescast was) As a sculptor and artist, I understand the problem with recast. It was however that particular website (and an artist on ebay called FITA) that got me into sculpting to begin with.
I came across that site some years ago I poured over the pictures and pictures of the resin parts, to learn how to sculpt.
Don't let the painting get to you! Paint can always be removed and re-applied. That's the beauty of all this.. there are no mistakes! Only learning and Fun Fun Fun!

Thanks, I want that PVC to Resin kit Motoko kit~
I've heard that the PVC version is hollow and will start to lean.
Makes me want to unbox my pvc kits from my move two years ago lol.
