Here, a gallon is roughly $9 depending on the type you use... ^^

*edit: "here" is Sweden

my hubby is talking about buying one of those tiny motorized scooters (not moped, an actual scooter) for going to and from work. his truck is a gas guzzler  he only lives a couple miles from work so woul dbe funny watching him drive that to and from. lol

Yup, mine was $6.26 for regular unleaded... and they predict it will jump up to $8 later this month. Funny how high it gets right before everyone goes on summer break...

You must be using regular? My car only takes hi-octane and thats like $7.99 a gallon right now.

First of August it will be at least 200-yen a litre.

Glad for public transport here.

At least in Japan, you get FUNCTIONAL public transit. Transit in the valley is absolutely abysmal...

Here in Denmark one gallon cost roughly 9.5$ now .....

I swapped the 3.55 gears for 4.10's in the Mustang before gas skyrocketed  . Curiously enough it hasn't had an adverse effect on my fuel economy: I still get around 20 mpg around town. Gas is +/- $4.35 for 93 octane in Dallas.

I think I'll get a Yaris or a motorcycle for the commute when it hits $8.00 - $10.00 (oh, and a supercharger for the Mustang!:hubba: )

I'm paying around $4+ here (Indonesia). Dang! lucky for me I rarely use the car. I use my motorcycle to go places, great mileage ;)

Gas has gone down to around $4.05 getting better but man still not what it was just a while ago...

I think, anymore, that the whole issue of gas prices has turned into a pseudo religious crusade among commuters. I live in the US, and our arrogance about driving big, sexy cars and trucks has finally caught up with us. Now we're whining about how gas costs $4+ a gallon, but Redrage is right... Just wait until it hits $8 a gallon. Whole economies will fail.

See, now you can actually justify getting that blower for your Mustang, because you won't be driving it that much anyway. Why not soup it up to the extreme? Just take it out once a week to breathe and she'll live forever!
