I always recommend Dan Perez's tutorial

http://www.danperezstudios.com/workshoppages/molding_casting.htm

It is easy to follow and the photos and descriptions are excellent.

You might have to make some material substitutions depending on your area, but the basic method should be the same.

If you do a two-part mold and do it correctly, there should only be a bit of clay touching your original sculpt. You shouldn't have too much problems with it sticking - especially if your work is sealed properly (and it should be).

Hmm... if you can't get the materials at your local hobby shop or craft store - you might try some hardware stores next. The places that usually have the good connections for resin materials are auto body repair shops, marine service (fixes boats), and surfboard shops. Even if they don't have what you need, they should be able to get you info on a supplier that does.

You probably won't have much luck with the phone and internet directories looking for direct listings under "silicon rubber" and "polyurethane resin". Instead, check around for chemical supply and plastic companies.

I'm not sure what the shipping regulations are where you live, but most countries don't allow hazardous materials to be sent by airmail - so that might rule out internet hobby shops?

Good luck ::thumb

Polyester resin is nasty, toxic stuff. Don't use it. Use polyurethane resin instead. Smooth-On or Synair are two bigger manufacturers of low viscosity resins. More user friendly, and less toxicity is always a big win. And besides, all the original Japanese resin is polyurethane...
